What is Aviation is all about?

This is the second semester I'm in MIAT, and i have gained a t least what i thought is the overall view of "what is Aviation?" is all about......
From the first semester, I've learned that aviation industry is not consist of only the airplane that you see in your everyday (commercial), however it is more then that.....!!!!!
The question mark that cross my mind is:

1) What is Aviation all about?
2) what makes an Airline a success?
3) What makes company such as Malaysian Airlines, Air Asia, Emirates Airlines grow?
4) What are the component of an Airlines?
5) How does an Airlines effect a country, people and government?
6) How does Airlines come out with strategy such as lowering cost and such to attract
passenger?
7) How does an Airlines manage their capital, liability, and etc to ensure profit is
maximize?

Well, that i s some of the basic things that i think I'll need to discover in order to obtain the facts of 'what is aviation is all about?'........

Up until now, i know that Aviation Industry especially the Commercial Airlines such as Malaysian Airlines System or Air Asia is profit-driven company that focused on :

Passenger --------------------> Services

Cargo -----------------------> Services

From this point of view, i see that Airlines is selling services rather that product. To proclaim that product is our subject, so the services is the product....!!!!
How can it be?

Well, from the Principles of Marketing subject, i understand that everything that is produce in order to obtain a benefit, income, or profit is called product.......
Product can be a tangible or intangible material and the substances can be from various (diverse) or sole (central) resources......

As we all know, an Airlines is build by a lot of scarce resources and in order for it to maintain its activities, Airlines must consolidate a lot of resources.

Airlines or Aviation is solely grouped as a transportation regardless of the means on using these services. The objective is to transport people or goods form point A to point B (Logistics)......
Same as the other transportation mode such as roads, Seas, Pipelines, and railways, Airlines also commute something and obtain something (profit) out of it.

For me, Airlines has its own significant value that setting it apart form any other modes. Usually, when people talk about Aviation or Airlines, they are actually talking about internationals gesture of that particular subject.
"Sky is not the Limits....." is one of the signs that written on the walls here at MIAT, and for me those word are TRUE.......!!!!!

How about the broad coverage that Aviation Industry supplied?
and what about the Prestige feeling that this industry convey in our mind and soul?

My Lecturer is mostly come from Malaysian Airlines Systems, and the words that they wanted to stress out is "how aviation industry is a prestige field?"......
I was talking to myself, how can it be?
Does the word "GLOBAL....!" remind you of anything?
So, they globe is the coverage....
unlike any other mode that constrain with barriers such as land, length and rails......
Think it yourself....said my lecturer to me...

As part of the effect of Aviation Industry towards the country or the world is the services that they offered....and what is that?

CONNECTIVITY

The coverage that an Airlines brought is border-less.......you can be anywhere, at anytime, at any situation (depends to the weather and such) at any cost that you like.........

Just imagine that the Airlines is a coach business (for easier example), a coach needed its maintenance regularly to able it to execute its activities which is taking passenger to places, right?
The air-conditioner, seats, toilet (if it got one), engines, tyres, and etc..... these things needed to be supervise and monitored in order to make the passengers happy and comfortable.
Same as airlines, if those basic tools didn't be carefully maintain and monitored, how would you feel?

The difference between an airline and a coach company is that the rules that comply with its businesses. Take a coach for instance, you don't see any JPJ or Police personnel come and inspect those vehicle inside-out carefully.....
They just do minor checks such as breaks, black-boxes, number of drivers and such, regardless the condition of the coach itself. However, for an airlines, everything is inspected form inside-out and the most basic inspection is the condition of the plane itself, then the engine and so on and so forth. Why? why would the coach company is abide with such complexity as those who are in the airlines?
Both of these field carried the responsibility of commuting passengers.....
Both of these field carried the same circumstances when accidents happen.....
but why there is such a double standards on these matter?

To answer these, i will continued on my next post,k
see if you can make yourself available to read it....
until next time,bye
